November has been a record month for Netwerk24 following the migration of popular Afrikaans lifestyle titles to the news channel.
The move, which saw 11 magazine titles added to the Netwerk24 channel, as well as regional news content for the news title Beeld, Die Burger, Volksblad and Rapport ̶ allowing our Afrikaans readers a broad array of their favourite quality reads, all behind a single paywall. The various platforms were also organised into accessible, easy-to-find sections. The outcome is an exciting one-stop hub for advertisers to appeal to diverse demographics.
The results have been staggering with weekly paid views reaching 2 232 123, the highest number in Netwerk24’s history. Another all-time high was reached with 725 017 (700 499 in app and 24 518 desktop) weekly unique browsers.
“We are very pleased with the success of the migration. The numbers speak volumes to reinforce our belief that we are forging a digital future for our much-loved and read magazine brands,” says Gaafele Mbele, Ads24’s Digital Sales Manager.
“The move has created a fantastic value proposition for advertisers who now have access to readers across a number of demographics ̶ from new mothers to grandmothers, caravaners and travellers to opinion makers and corporate executives ̶ all in the same place.”
The magazine titles that are now accessible on Netwerk24 are Huisgenoot, Sarie, Kuier, Tuis, Weg! and Weg! Ry & Sleep, Landbouweekblad, Baba en Kleuter, TV-Plus, Finweek and SA Jagter.
Advertisers can now tailor their campaigns across print, digital and social media channels to ensure they achieve as broad a reach as possible, also taking into account that the large number of community papers can take their message directly to targeted regions.
