Afrikaans Research - Praat Saam
Media24 has put together key insights to help agencies and retailers better understand the consumer habits, language and retail expectations of more than 5.8 million Afrikaans-speaking adults.
We have surveyed and drawn insights from 2607 loyal consumers who read our Afrikaans titles to help you reach them better.
Methodology:
- Forum24 (Media24’s in-house online panel that has over 41,000 members) was used as a vehicle together with the Promo24 database.
- Forum24 respondents who indicated that they were Afrikaans speaking were invited.
- A link was provided and the Promo24 qualifying database was also invited.
- An incentive of R20 00 prize money (thirteen prizes of R10 000, R3 000, R2 000 and 10 x R500) in a lucky draw was offered to encourage participation.
- The results were weighted by Nielsen to match the Afrikaans audience with online access who read in Afrikaans as per Fusion 2021. The weighted audience translated to 4 177 000 population. Results were made available to agencies on Telmar and Nielsen’s Clear Decisions software.

- Each person may submit multiple entries per competition
- A person can only win one of the 5 prizes up for grabs
- The Prize – Upon entering the competition, you stand a chance to win 1 of 5 takealot vouchers valued at R2000 each

- The winner will be notified by 6th November 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
